Yellow Turquoise and Onyx Pendant Necklace

In creating this unique necklace I selected yellow turquoise rondelle and barrel beads, 4 mm onyx beads, an imported onyx pendant and a sterling silver toggle clasp and Bali beads. The necklace is 19" in length. The onyx pendant is stamped 925 and is 2 1/8" including the bail by 1 1/4" with the onyx cabonchone being 1 3/16" by 1 1/8".

Is yellow turquoise real turquoise? Yellow turquoise is said to be natural turquoise mined in China. Yellow turquoise tends to be softer than most other turquoise and is sometimes wax-treated to harden and preserve the surface.
