In handcrafting this really unusual necklace and earring set I selected yellow turquoise coin and rectangle beads and a teardrop shaped pendant as a center drop, focal point as well as sterling silver findings including a Bali bead cap and spacer beads, ear wires and a toggle clasp. The coin beads are 18 mm in diameter and the rectangle beads are 18 by 12 mm. The necklace is 19" in length, the earrings are 1 1/4" plus the ear wire and the center drop teardrop 1 3/4" by 1 3/8".

Yellow turquoise tends to be softer than most other turquoise and is sometimes wax-treated to harden and preserve the surface. The black matrix makes for nteresting patterns. Yellow turquoise is a rather soft stone so there are a few rough spots.
