In creating this original 26" Standing Bear necklace I selected 5 mm turquoise beads, what I think is gray serpentime fetishes and sterling silver findings including beads, cones and a toggle clasp. The reason I think the fetishes are serpentine is they have the slick feel of serpentine. The fetishes are imported from the Philippines and are mostly about an inch in length by 3/8" by 1/8". The imported center standing bear is two inches in height. Lots of these type fetishes are sold as Native American, however, they are imported! The standing bear has eyes, claws and more carved into it. Note the great detail even in the smaller fetishes.
